Adam Johnson, Chief Executive Officer/Principal, Strategic Facilitator
Adam, CEO and one of c. myers’ owners, leads a client-focused team of 50+ professionals who are passionate about helping our clients position themselves to remain relevant, sustainable, and differentiated.
In his long tenure at c. myers, Adam has been a key contributor to the philosophy and design of c. myers’ proprietary financial models and ALM processes. He helped design c. myers’ approach to assessing business models and strategic planning processes, and serves as the strategic guide for the Process Improvement and Strategic Implementation business lines.
Adam has facilitated hundreds of strategic planning sessions and has spoken at numerous national and regional industry conferences on a wide array of topics. He has worked with countless financial institutions to improve their financial structure and has guided many CEOs as they developed solid leaders on their teams. Adam also coaches boards and CEOs as they prepare for, and execute, smooth leadership transitions. He is known for his ability to take the most complex topics and break them down into an understandable language, with a touch of humor along the way.
Adam is an avid learner and enjoys challenges in a wide range of areas. He served in the Peace Corps in Ukraine, rode his bicycle from San Diego to Florida, and mentors young people in making career path choices. Adam enjoys an active lifestyle and lives in Phoenix with his wife Olya and their two children.
Rob Johnson, President/Principal, Strategic Facilitator
Rob, President and a principal owner of c. myers, has been instrumental in delivering on the vision of enabling leadership teams to have relevant and reliable financial decision-information at their fingertips, so that they can accelerate their strategic impact in providing value to their markets.
Rob is also a sought-after, highly-energetic industry speaker. Whether in front of small or large groups, he relishes taking complex, dry subjects and turning the material into a presentation that people really enjoy.
When working with clients, Rob enjoys helping leadership teams think through a wide range of potential scenarios by starting from the big picture, and then digging into their data and business intelligence. Rob has a passion for helping teams to see new possibilities, find opportunities for sustainable revenue streams, and reposition their business models so that they can continue to offer compelling value propositions to their target markets.

In his free time, Rob and his family love spending time at their mountain cabin, hiking, and enjoying new experiences.
Brian McHenry, Executive Vice President/Principal, Strategic & Leadership Facilitator
As one of c. myers’ owners, Brian works daily with CEOs and C-Suite teams to help them identify and prioritize necessary changes to continuously adjust their business models and remain highly competitive.
When working through the strategic process, CEOs regularly praise Brian’s calm communication style and ability to authentically engage anyone he interacts with.
Brian’s expansive knowledge of the financial services industry, combined with his dedication to being on the leading edge of emerging consumer behavior trends, enables him to help decision-makers address tough business issues and explore creative solutions as they link their vision, strategy, and desired financial performance.
As a certified Harrison Assessment and Strozzi Institute Somatic Coach, Brian is continuously innovating the way he helps current and aspiring CEOs and executives accelerate their growth in key competencies through our Strategic Leadership Development and Immersion programs. He works with leadership teams to advance their abilities to perform as a cohesive and strategic team. CEOs often say that Brian is adept at taking a group of individuals and helping them develop into a high-functioning team.
Before joining c. myers, he served as a Peace Corps volunteer in Mozambique. During his time in the Peace Corps, Brian was a teacher and coordinated multiple programs focused on helping teenage boys gain self-esteem so that they could be better equipped to have a positive impact on their communities.
Here at home, Brian often helps people with intellectual and developmental disabilities by fostering inclusion and participation in athletic endeavors otherwise not available to them. Outside of work, he and his wife enjoy time with their two children. Brian also has an active lifestyle and has completed two IRONMAN triathlons.
John Myers, Principal, Strategic Facilitator
John is one of c. myers’ owners. One of his greatest passions is helping financial institutions uncover opportunities and build relevant, sustainable business models.
John has facilitated hundreds of strategic planning and decision meetings. He uses his reservoir of experiences to help leaders and key stakeholders build consensus around a strategic direction that is grounded in relevant business intelligence.
He guides groups in gaining clarity and reaching consensus by helping them to think about issues and opportunities from different angles or, as he would put it, “coming in through different windows.” Strategically minded with a natural sense for numbers, John has developed a knack for helping executive teams connect strategy with desired financial performance in a common-sense, actionable way that decision-makers gravitate toward.
Outside of facilitating hundreds of strategic sessions, John has spoken at numerous industry conferences throughout the years on a wide array of topics, sharing his wellspring of knowledge and captivating groups with his positive, plainspoken style.
He was also one of the architects of c. myers’ continuous business model optimization approach, which goes beyond strategic planning to encompass keys to success that include business model clarity, strategic thinking, financial planning, people planning, and implementation.
John is a founding board member of Northland Cares, a community-based, non-profit organization providing medical services in four rural counties in Arizona. John also volunteers his time to Nourish Phoenix, a grassroots organization that provides basic human needs to roughly 20,000 families each day. When not at work, John enjoys adventurous travel with his husband, who is an accomplished landscape photographer. Together they have traveled to each of the seven continents and dozens of countries.
Sally Myers, Principal, Strategic & Leadership Facilitator
Sally is a founder of c. myers corporation and an owner. Driven by a deep commitment to helping financial industry leaders and regulators for many decades, her guidance has shaped c. myers’ focus on helping clients create opportunities and approach problem solving from a scalable perspective. She has also been a strategic force behind the development of c. myers’ financial models.
Sally has facilitated hundreds of engagements to support continuous business model optimization, including strategic planning, strategic leadership development, board governance, and financial engagements. She has been instrumental in helping clients uncover opportunities and meet challenges through good times and turbulent times in the financial services industry. She is committed to helping them think, plan, and act strategically and proactively to ensure their sustainability. Whether during a strategic planning session or speaking at a conference with more than a thousand people in attendance, Sally has mastered taking complex issues and breaking them into engaging topics for discussion.
Sally is a certified Harrison Assessment and Strozzi Somatic Coach and is passionate about developing strategic leaders. Utilizing her own experiences as a business owner and the skills she’s built through her years in the industry, she has worked with countless executives and their teams to strengthen their leadership abilities. At the organizational level, she guides executives as they decide on the talent structures necessary to support their strategies and move their business into the future.
Sally is a steadfast supporter of Nourish Phoenix, an organization that helps the working poor. She has facilitated their planning sessions pro bono, organizes company-wide drives for donations, and volunteers her time at Nourish Phoenix’s facility. If you’re traveling with her, plan on hitting the gym, the mountain, or going on a bike ride with her. Sally is quick witted, and always enjoys lively conversation and a good laugh.
Sean Zimmermann, Senior Vice President, Strategic Facilitator
Sean, Senior Vice President and one of c. myers’ owners, has worked in the financial industry for over 25 years in various roles, from Chief Financial and Strategic Officer to President and CEO, at financial institutions with over a billion dollars in assets. Sean’s recent experience has been as an executive consultant at a well-recognized fintech integration firm.
Sean uses his many years of experience to provide intriguing insights and different perspectives on complicated issues that impact the financial industry. His outgoing personality and passion for helping institutions remain sustainable and relevant allows him to play a key role in helping organizations optimize their business.
Sean holds an MBA in Finance and a Master’s Plus in Accounting from Loyola University, and graduated magna cum laude with a B.S. degree in Business Administration with concentrations in Finance, Management, and Marketing. Sean also earned a CPA designation, passing the exam with one of the top 10 scores in the state of Maryland.
He has served as the Vice Chair of Credit Union Miracle Day, Inc., which raises funds for children’s hospitals and raises awareness about credit unions, and he also served as Treasurer of the Credit Union Foundation of Maryland and the District of Columbia Board of Directors, which focuses on improving affordable financial services and financial education, including granting youth college scholarships. In his spare time, he enjoys spending as many moments as possible with family and friends. Sean served for many years as a soccer coach and trainer, as well as President, Vice President, and director of coaching for an athletic association. He also likes to run, workout, and read for personal development and pleasure.
Dan Myers, Senior Vice President, Strategic Facilitator
Dan joined c. myers in 2009 to launch our Process Improvement and Strategic Implementation Services, bringing more than 20 years of management experience which included responsibility for over 300 employees, a budget of more than $35 million, and over one million square feet of facilities.
Dan’s success as a leader was driven by his ability to focus his various departments on constant process improvement. He developed and implemented an effective process to manage portfolios of projects to help ensure his company’s financial and human resources were aligned with strategy and allocated appropriately. The constant process improvement and successful strategic implementation drove increases in revenue while containing expenses.
Since joining c. myers, Dan has worked with scores of financial institutions helping them to develop quick and efficient processes, as well as organize and manage portfolios of projects to maintain relevancy, keep costs down, and create more rewarding customer and employee experiences. Financial institutions that have benefited from Dan’s expertise have ranged from $90 million to over $15 billion in assets. These institutions have continuously complimented Dan’s ability to help them achieve the strategic progress they want and need.
Dan and his wife Kelly volunteer 15-20 hours a month visiting individuals in assisted living facilities, taking them to lunch, the library, and running basic errands. In his spare time, Dan enjoys camping, hiking, playing board games, and pulling practical jokes on his family, including his office family. Dan is known to project manage himself, such as training for a 45-mile rim-to-rim hike of the Grand Canyon. When he was younger, he held a statewide record in his weight class for deadlifting roughly the weight of the back end of a Volkswagen.
Amanda Hohimer, Strategic Facilitator
Since joining c. myers in 2004, Amanda has served in many leadership roles, including facilitating and co-facilitating Strategic Planning, Strategic Implementation, and Process Improvement engagements for our clients.
Amanda brings a fresh, upbeat energy to her facilitation style that encourages participation and productive conversation. Many of the clients she’s worked with rely on her steady and forthright approach as they wrangle with tough questions. Her years of experience have led her to play a key role at c. myers in identifying effective ways to support our clients’ business models through structuring strategic engagements in ways that are customized for maximum results.
Amanda is also community driven. For years, she has been a catalyst to get scores of others to donate to Nourish Phoenix, an organization that helps the working poor and their children. She also actively volunteers as the treasurer for her son’s travel soccer team. Amanda enjoys cooking, traveling, and spending time with her husband and three children, especially at their many sporting events and activities.
Charlene Leland, Strategic & Leadership Facilitator
Since joining c. myers in 2004, Charlene has become one of the most diverse facilitators within the industry, especially with regard to helping financial institutions of all sizes address three necessary business objectives: relevancy, differentiation, and sustainability. Over the years, she has honed her skills for facilitating various types of sessions, including Strategic Planning, Strategic Implementation, Customer Journey and Experience Improvement, and Strategic Financial Planning. During the course of the Great Recession, she assisted organizations in building capital restoration plans.
Charlene is a certified Harrison Assessment coach. She uses her insight to support individuals in leadership development, both internally and externally. Within c. myers, Charlene has mentored more than 20 employees in her many areas of expertise. She also manages major projects, including both the development of new services and the revamping of existing services.
Charlene is a frequent blood donor, racking up more than 70 donations. She enjoys cooking for her family, gardening, nature, and is an avid hiker and road cyclist.
Dustin Wright, Strategic Facilitator & Financial Consultant
Dustin brings years of valuable experience from his myriad roles within the financial services industry. He has worked for many financial institutions, including a community bank in Phoenix. As the controller, he was responsible for regulatory financial reporting, ALM, budgeting, forecasting, and monthly Board and ALCO reporting. Dustin’s variety of roles within the financial services arena, and first-hand knowledge of banks and credit unions, allow him to think strategically and offer the best solutions to our clients.
Dustin joined the c. myers team in early 2011. He facilitates Strategic Financial Planning sessions, as well as onsite ALM education courses, using his background of working within financial institutions to make the financial content relatable to all experience levels. Dustin leverages his 20 years of experience in financial services to assist management teams in understanding complex ALM topics such as capital planning/adequacy and aggregate risk, derivatives, risk concentrations, liquidity risk, and more. He is able to combine technical knowledge and expertise with an understanding of how financial institutions run to reach a wide range of audiences when interacting with our clients.
Internally at c. myers, Dustin has taken the lead in critical areas. He oversees the development and maintenance of our concentration risk and aggregate risk services and assists in the training and development of client services staff. He regularly speaks with and conducts training sessions for examiners, ALCOs, and Boards of Directors. Dustin is a highly sought after trainer, especially when it comes to mastery of the most complex ALM topics and modeling challenges.
Prior to joining c. myers, he was responsible for asset/liability management, investing, budgeting, regulatory reporting, and additional accounting and finance functions in both a credit union and a bank.
Dustin enjoys working on DIY projects, backpacking, camping, and spending time with his wife and son in the great Arizona outdoors.
Rob McCullough, Strategic Facilitator & Financial Consultant
Rob, one of c. myers’ owners, joined c. myers in 2000 and works with senior leadership teams and boards across the country every day, addressing opportunities and issues that are top of mind. Using his well-rounded depth of industry knowledge and approachable demeanor, he challenges decision-makers to think deeply about enhancing the institution’s relevancy and sustainability.
Rob facilitates strategic planning and helps clients align their business model, strategy, and desired long-term financial performance. His work with clients through multiple rate environments, economic conditions, and competitive threats provides him a reservoir of experience that he can draw from to help leadership teams discover their unique opportunities and embrace challenges. For example, following the onset of the Great Recession, and during the 2020 pandemic, Rob assisted many leadership teams and boards to develop and implement strategic financial plans so that they could prioritize the necessary changes to their business models.
Rob, his wife Sarah, and their five children are avid outdoor enthusiasts. Their activities include spending time at the lake, dirt bike riding, camping, golfing, and white-water rafting. Rob is a kid at heart and loves building things for his kids including a ninja warrior course, a zip line course, and full-size motocross track!
Rob and his wife give freely of their time for those in need, including visiting the elderly in their local community, gathering items for different charitable organizations, and working with individuals who have intellectual and developmental disabilities. Rob has also helped raise funds for community projects in Mongolia, Ghana, and Central America.
Tim Busby, Strategic Facilitator & Financial Consultant
In his 20+ years with c. myers, Tim has helped hundreds of financial institutions of all sizes uncover opportunities for building relevancy and sustainability through a variety of economic conditions, including three recessions, a housing bubble, and multiple different rate environments.
Tim’s knowledge and experience runs deep in a variety of disciplines. He has facilitated countless strategic sessions that guide leadership teams to create long-term strategic and financial roadmaps that align with their desired business model. The expertise Tim brings to the table is strengthened by his specialization in merger, liquidity, and ALM analysis. Internally at c. myers, Tim has taken the lead in areas such as our model validation service, and the critical training and strengthening of our analysts.
Tim has been instrumental in the development, enhancement, and teaching of various education courses. He receives stellar reviews because he strives to be first to understand shifts in the economy, emerging balance sheet trends within the industry, and proposed changes to regulations. Tim has a striking ability to engage participants and communicate complex topics, delivering a wealth of knowledge with his trademark dry sense of humor.
Tim enjoys volunteering his time to Nourish Phoenix, a grassroots organization that provides basic human needs up to 150 families and individuals each day. In his downtime, Tim enjoys spending time with his family, practicing Krav Maga, and reading.
Trevor Bush, Chief Financial Officer, Strategic Facilitator & Financial Consultant
Trevor brings over 30 years of experience in a variety of roles within the financial services industry to c. myers and its clients. In 2005, Trevor became the Chief Financial Officer and Chief Technology Officer of a community bank in Phoenix. In 2011, he was recruited by a multi-billion dollar regional bank into the role of SVP/Division Manager to oversee the operations in Arizona, which included $1 billion in assets and 23 branches.
Utilizing the expertise he gained through years in leadership roles within the financial services industry, Trevor works closely with CEOs, CFOs, and senior managers to help them understand their long-term risks to earnings and capital, as well as the opportunities and challenges that new business decisions under consideration can present. As a key player within c. myers, Trevor uses his in-depth experience to research complex emerging topics, such as modeling methodologies and risk mitigation alternatives.
With his experience working with executives and boards, Trevor is able to use his tactical thinking and leadership experience to facilitate strategic conversations and planning sessions that help teams understand their unique opportunities for relevancy and sustainability. Trevor also provides invaluable guidance to leaders through strategic leadership development and executive financial coaching. Empowering them to navigate the intricacies of their financial landscape, while simultaneously supporting in their personal and professional development.
Outside of c. myers, Trevor regularly donates to local charitable causes and organizations, and has served as an elected volunteer board member for two local schools. He enjoys spending time with his family and keeping active in many ways, such as hiking, diving, snowboarding, and camping.
Lisa Camper, Strategic & Leadership Facilitator
Lisa, a vice president and one of c. myers’ owners, has helped propel financial institutions forward to reach their organizational strategic goals since 2014. She regularly takes on key roles in a wide range of engagements with clients as they move their organizations forward through endeavors, such as Process Improvement, Strategic Leadership Development, Strategic Implementation, and Strategic Planning. Our clients appreciate Lisa’s range of experience combined with her perspective as a millennial.
Through Strategic Implementation, Lisa works with clients to elevate execution of strategic priorities to the level of strategic planning. Through this work she helps clients to continuously position themselves to achieve the strategic progress they want for their organization. Simply put, she knows how to prioritize, organize, and motivate people.
By fostering a culture of continuous process improvement, Lisa empowers institutions to adapt to evolving industry demands and is always looking for ways to optimize efficiencies. She was a key designer of our Experience Improvement Methodology, which drives the optimization and evolution of processes across the board.

Drawing upon her background and expertise, Lisa collaborates with leadership teams, guiding them in advancing their abilities to perform cohesively and strategically. She empowers clients to deepen their self-awareness, develop a strong presence, and foster a commitment to taking decisive action.
Outside of c. myers, Lisa enjoys staying active using her Peloton to practice yoga, cycling, and weight training. In her free time, she loves traveling and spending time with family and friends.
Tom Buchanan, Financial Consultant
Tom works with financial institution CEOs, CFOs, and other financial leaders, daily, to help them understand risk/reward tradeoffs to decisions they are making and how it impacts their ALM position. Our clients appreciate his ability to articulate the nuances of complex datasets and results, while distilling intricate details into understandable terms.
Utilizing ALM as his foundation, Tom leads many CFOs and finance teams through their budget process each year. With this experience, he is able to act as a sounding board for broad economic trends and details while communicating beyond base results of decisions, but also the impacts and other possible paths and opportunities to explore. His quick thinking has proven very valuable for our clients who work closely with Tom, and his sense of humor is an added plus.
Tom joined c. myers in 2014 after owning his own business in the food industry and venturing into the tax credit real estate financing world. This experience combined with almost 10 years at c. myers, has allowed Tom to not only bring value to our clients, but also play a significant internal role in training our team of analysts.
Tom enjoys an active lifestyle of mountain biking, skiing, camping, and hiking the peaks of Colorado, which is where he resides. Outside of enjoying these extreme sports, he spends time volunteering at his child’s soccer games.
Ali Weber, Strategic & Leadership Facilitator
Ali has nearly a decade of experience in people and organizational development. As a Strategic Planning facilitator, clients value the combination of her background in helping people and teams grow with her diverse understanding of economic and social trends.
Our clients also appreciate Ali’s quick mind and her ability to take complex issues and constructively break them down and explain them in a meaningful way. This enables teams of decision-makers with various backgrounds to find common ground to understand opportunities and issues faster, positioning them to make sound decisions.
Ali holds a Masters in Secondary Education with an emphasis in English and Creativity, as well as a BA in Sociology and Philosophy.
She is also an avid volunteer with a passion for developing youth. She challenges them to sharpen their critical and strategic thinking through debate and chess. She is proactive in helping them elevate their self-esteem and presence through speech classes, and supports them in their efforts with Amnesty International.
Ali, herself, is a student for life. Her idea of fun includes researching a variety of topics and engaging in lively discussion. She also thrives on competitive board games, never turns down a good book, and defies gravity with aerial silks.
Michelle Bliffen, Strategic Facilitator
Michelle brings over 30 years of experience in human resources, higher education, and financial institutions to the C. Myers team. As the Vice President of Human Resources and Chief Operations Officer at a credit union with over $1.5 billion in assets, Michelle was instrumental in developing a pipeline of strong talent as the credit union doubled in size in just over six years. Michelle was also a member of the Board of Directors prior to working at the credit union, holding the role of Vice-Chair.
Michelle brings a wide range of experience including strategic planning, major systems implementations, leadership development, project management, human resources, risk management, and marketing. Michelle combines strategic insight with a deep understanding of organizational dynamics to drive meaningful change and operational excellence. She draws on her natural curiosity to facilitate discussions, fostering collaborative environments that encourage reflection and growth. Whether she is working through complex projects or guiding talent development, Michelle is committed to enhancing both individual and organizational performance.
A proud Eastern Kentucky University Colonel, Michelle holds a Masters in Business Administration and a Bachelors in Marketing.
Michelle enjoys spending time with her husband and three children, who keep them very busy. When she gets a free moment, she enjoys riding bikes, exercising and playing the cello.
Erin Hoffman, Financial Consultant
Erin joins c. myers with 8 years of experience in the banking industry as a portfolio manager in the restaurant franchise lending space. Erin works with CEOs, CFOs, and other financial leaders, to help them understand how the decisions they are making daily impact their ALM position. Erin’s ability to explain complex financial concepts in an easy-to-understand manner has allowed her to grow and cultivate meaningful relationships with those that work closely with her.
Utilizing her banking foundation and propensity to connect with people, Erin has also facilitated Leadership Immersion programs and Cultivating Talent programs as well as taken the lead on training new team members in basic financial acumen.
Outside of c. myers, Erin spends most of her time either with her family, including two young children, or in the kitchen baking and cooking. Having previously managed her own food blog for several years, Erin’s passion for baking and cooking are shared with the c. myers office on a weekly basis. Outside of motherhood and feeding those she loves; Erin enjoys staying active using her Peloton and frequenting OrangeTheory Fitness. She also loves to read and travel the world.
Scott Kelley, Strategic Leadership Development Consultant
Scott has nearly 15 years of experience in the financial industry as a board member, and has served in various leadership roles as Chair, Vice-Chair, and Treasurer. He draws on his experience, inside and outside the financial industry, to facilitate critical decisions and help participants reach consensus and develop strategic plans that support their desired financial performance.
Scott has a passion for putting his learnings in the areas of leadership and team building into practice in his work at the University of Kentucky and his volunteer activities. He has utilized those same skills to help drive change within the organizations in which he has worked and volunteered.
He is a Professor of Marketing in the Gatton College of Business and Economics at the University of Kentucky, where his long-term teaching and research interests have focused on strategic marketing and service delivery issues within the service sector.
Scott played college basketball at the University of Iowa and the University of Evansville. This experience helped him cultivate his decision-making skills and learn to navigate team dynamics. Currently, he enjoys spending time with his wife and three kids, and volunteering in his community.
Aparna Bavle, Strategic Leadership Development Consultant
Aparna is a Leadership Coach, Entrepreneur, Business Mentor, and Financial Consultant. With over 20 years of experience in leadership roles in the software industry, working with companies like Amazon, Ticketmaster, PayPal, and America Online, Aparna brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to her coaching practice.
As a Leadership Coach, Aparna specializes in supporting new and aspiring managers in transitioning into management and leadership roles by teaching them how to build strong, effective teams, and grow their careers. She helps professionals identify their unique strengths and leverage them to progress from stagnant roles and achieve their career goals.
Aparna is a passionate mentor and advocate for women and has created a new program called “ACELerate Women” to inspire AAPI women to cultivate authentic, heart-centered leadership and make a lasting impact on their families, workplaces, and communities.
In addition to her coaching practice, Aparna also works as a Financial Consultant, helping families with their personal finance. She holds a Master of Software Engineering degree from San Jose State University.

Celena Leland, Certified Nutrition Specialist
Celena Leland is a Certified Nutrition Specialist who promotes self-care and holistic nutrition as the foundation of healthy living. She holds a Master’s degree in Clinical Nutrition, a Bachelor’s in Psychology, and has over eight years of professional experience in various clinical settings, including private practice, community mental healthcare, weight management, and cancer care. Her background provides her with unique insight into the intersection between mental and physical health, allowing her to bring a deep understanding of the mind-body connection into her work.
Celena’s wellness philosophy emphasizes the importance of nourishing oneself physically, mentally, and emotionally.
